"Eclectic mix is an understatement, but in the best possible way" - LEO Weekly
Austin's newest emerging artist!
I came to Austin from Louisville in 2015 as a grad student (hook ‘em!) and a performer with UT’s Bereket Ensemble.
Since 2021 I've played in Louisville's music scene, gaining recognition for my eclectic songwriting and wide vocal range while building community and supporting social justice causes through my Summer Songwriter Series at Christ Church Cathedral.
Now I'm ready to bring the same musical energy and community commitment back to Austin--the city that's become a second home to me!
What IS “Teale Appeal”?
When we talk about success in music, it's usually about albums and tickets sold, singles streamed, radio spins, possibly even groupies banged, and so on…
But what if instead we measured it by how many people we could inspire, how many people felt safe in our presence, how we could give voice to people struggling?
That's why I write songs: to make people think more deeply about materialist culture, systemic injustice and inequality, and love in its most unselfish form.
So come on this journey of introspection with me--together, we can show the world that the Teale Appeal's the real deal! You feel?
